New College Graduate - Industrial Engineer, Flash Inventory Management

As an Industrial Engineer within our Flash Inventory Management team, you will work in the following areas:

  • Manage Flash Inventory Targets & Actuals/Projections to support WD Customer service levels (Maximize Revenue) with minimum Inventory Investment (Maximize Cash flow)
  • Functional:
    • Run Flash end to end Weeks of Supply model to set & publish inventory targets for the following stakeholders.
    • Components Planning (Controller, DRAM, PMIC)
    • India Ops (Cycle time tracking)
    • Provide accurate quarter end inventory projections for Finance. Explain deviations from targets & actions to resolve.
    • Work with Product Planning, IBP teams on understanding reasons for projections deviation.
  • Identify & prioritize cycle time improvement projects for a rolling One-year period
  • Scenario Analysis: Navigate inventory strategy through varying demand/supply dynamics (allocation, oversupply, non-prime die)
  • Lead data collection of inputs from Planning/Operations/Finance teams and co-ordinate cross functional review process
  • Develop dashboard in Power BI to derive insights from data.
  • Managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively influence, communicate with business partners

Qualifications

  • Completed or will have completedĀ a Master of Science degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field and graduating between May-December 2023
  • Aptitude to develop automated supply chain models & analyze large data sets to facilitate 'data driven' decision making
  • Proficiency in Tableau, Advanced Excel (Power Query), Power BI, SQL, Python etc.
  • Hands-on experience in i2 JDA/SAP or similar Planning/ERP systems
  • Inquisitiveness, Attention to Detail, 'Big Picture' thinking
  • Excellent written & oral communication
  • Conceptual understanding of supply chain functions (planning, optimization, procurement, logistics etc.) preferably in fast paced industries like semiconductors
