About the Position:

Will consider Transportation Planner.

Under the supervision of a Senior Transportation Planner, the Associate Transportation Planner will work on a team to coordinate the district Complete Streets Program. The position incorporates the District Complete Streets duties associated to support development of the State Highway System Management Plan (SHSMP) and Highway Maintenance (HM) Program. The position leads work in the preparation and review of various planning studies and documents, and will support District 2 Complete Street program and project development and delivery with focus on delivering and updating the District's Active Transportation (CAT) Plan, coordination with functional units to support completion of the Multi Objective Worksheet (MOW), the Transportation Planning Scoping Information Sheet (TPSIS), and the Complete Streets Decision Document (CSDD) and Tracking Form (CSTF) to support all phases of the Project Initiation Document (PID) for the District 2 State Highway Operations Protection Program (SHOPP) as well as Non SHOPP Programs where an alternative project document is required such as a Project Study Report (PSR). The incumbent will work with internal and external partners and stakeholders to achieve the objectives outlined in Directors Policy 37 and applicable or associated directives and policies. This position will require knowledge of standard data practices and use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
