Job Summary

We are seeking a talented student intern to accelerate the development of SiTime’s MEMS-based timing products. The Hardware Product Engineering Intern will work with senior engineering staff at SiTime to complete projects related to the development, validation, and characterization of SiTime's cutting-edge MEMS-based timing products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Validate and characterize SiTime’s MEMS-based timing products.
  • Develop software for automated data acquisition from laboratory instruments and data analysis.
  • Perform board-level circuit bring-up and debug.
  • Write and debug microcontroller and SoC firmware.
  • Assemble systems consisting of laboratory equipment, mechanical fixtures, and temperature chambers.
  • Acquire characterization data and perform statistical analyses.
  • Prepare written documentation of the system design and data analysis reports for cross-functional teams.

 

Required Attributes:

  • Candidate should be enrolled for a graduate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or equivalent. Exceptional upper-level undergraduate students will also be considered.
  • Hands-on experience with experimentation & electronic lab equipment. (oscilloscope, DMM, frequency counter, etc.)
  • Experience developing algorithms and software for data analysis. (MATLAB and Python are pluses)
  • Background in analog, digital and mixed-signal fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
