The Lucas Howard Group is looking for an intern that wishes to develop a well-rounded skill set in a growing office setting. The skills that the candidate will learn include the efforts that surround good marketing practices and video production, learning to stay organized and meet deadlines, creative thinking and collaboration with team members, and other various skills. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are passionate about film and editing to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain video equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Capture high-quality footage during various on-site events and projects.
  • Brainstorm and execute video ideas, collaborate with the Marketing team to create content, and shoot videos that highlight our company culture, the Grand Rapids area, recruiting efforts by promoting the Lucas Howard Group.
  • Assist our Marketing Director in creating trending content to help grow and expand our YouTube & TikTok channels.

Despite being a real estate team, you will be doing a lot more than just shooting videos of houses. In fact, that only makes up a small percentage of the videos we shoot. You’ll also gain exposure to shooting event recaps, vlog-styled videos, informational content videos, documentary-style videos, and possibly even a music video! (We love our music parodies!)

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Candidates with experience using DSLR’s, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other videography-related equipment are welcomed, but it is not a requirement.
  • Owning your own Adobe Creative cloud credentials is preferred but not required.
  • The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, resourceful, positive, hardworking, able to work independently, and have strong communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate should have reliable transportation and be able to commute to our office located off Cascade Road SE.
  • Majoring in Videography/ Film, Photography, Visual Communications, or something related.
  • Must have a working laptop and basic computer knowledge.
