POSITION PURPOSE

 

As a Marketing Intern you will embark on an immersive journey into the dynamic realms of marketing, graphic design, and copywriting. This internship is tailored to provide hands-on experience, allowing you to contribute to real-world projects and collaborate with a seasoned marketing team. Whether you're passionate about crafting compelling copy, creating visually appealing designs, or executing strategic marketing campaigns, this internship offers a diverse and enriching learning experience.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

 

1.           Marketing:

 

  1. Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including content creation, email marketing, and social media management.
  2. Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor strategies, and target audience preferences.
  3. Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and create engaging and creative content for various marketing channels.
  4. Assist in the planning and execution of events, webinars, and promotional activities.
  5. Support the management of the company's social media accounts by creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing performance metrics.

 

2.           Graphic Design:

 

  1. Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing graphics, illustrations, and layouts for various projects and marketing materials.
  2. Assist in the development and execution of design concepts for print and digital media, including brochures, flyers, social media posts, banners, and websites.
  3. Work with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design software to create and edit visual content.
  4. Help maintain brand consistency by following established brand guidelines in all design work.

 

3.           Copywriting:

 

  1. Create various marketing materials, including website content, blog posts, social media posts, email campaigns, and advertisements.
  2. Assist in the creation and editing of written content to ensure it aligns with the company's brand voice and messaging guidelines.
  3. Conduct research to gather information on industry trends, competitor content, and target audience preferences to inform copywriting strategies.
  4. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and concepts for marketing campaigns and content.
  5. Proofread and edit written materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and proper grammar and punctuation.

Education/Certification:       Any grade level (preferred declared marketing degree, business degree, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, communication, or journalism degree).

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

Mathematics Ability:               Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percents, and to draw and interpret graphs.

 

Language Ability:                     Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias.

                                                          Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.

                                                          Ability to conduct training, communicate at panel discussions and to make professional presentations.
