Job purpose

Uses demonstrated systems/software experience and lessons learned to improve the team proficiency in applying the BorgWarner engineering development process (Electronics Development Framework - EDF) to projects.

 

Be a change agent to support the organizational transformation of the electrified drive systems and software teams to achieve ASPICE compliance goals

 

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively analyzes systems/software process deployments, identifies opportunities for improvement and develops solutions
  • Uses demonstrated systems/software experience and lessons learned to drive engineering project teams to achieve their quality goals and leads project teams in the usage of PDS evolving Processes, Methods and Tools
  • Develops training curriculum and transfers knowledge of the BorgWarner EDF process, roles, and responsibilities to the engineering teams.
  • Works closely with the engineering teams to monitor performance of the systems and software processes
  • Performs work product reviews and adherence to process.  Makes recommendations on improvements.
  • Creates and maintains a quality dashboard and metrics for reporting to the project and matrix organization.
  • Tracks assessment findings to closure.
  • Performs random checks of document consistencies and accuracy.
  • Identifies and escalates issues for non-compliances.
  • Make recommendations for process improvement back to the Process, Methods, and Tools organization

 

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Software Quality Assurance competency
  • Good written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills; effective working as a team member
  • Experience delivering a system/software product
  • Experience in using engineering V cycle development processes
  • Working knowledge of ASPICE, ISO26262 (Functional Safety), and ISO21434 (Cybersecurity)
  • Proven organizational and facilitation experience
  • Process area expertise
  • Knowledge of Agile practices
  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree (Required), MS (P)
  • Major: Computer Engineering (P), Computer Science (P), Electrical Engineering (P), Systems Engineering (P)
