Job purpose 

Reporting to the HR Link Supervisor, the intern will be responsible for administrative support of our HR systems, coordination of HR projects/activities and interfacing with employees on program and policy questions.  The Intern will be exposed to a variety of HR functions within Total Rewards, HR Operations and HRIS systems.    

 

Key responsibilities 

Supports the US Shared Service (HR Link) team by assisting with data maintenance in the HRIS, payroll, and other systems as needed. 

Manages HR Link Outlook Inbox. 

Coordinate wellness events and recognition team events. 

Assist in audits to ensure complete accuracy and compliance within multiple HR systems. 

Facilitates the New Hire benefit orientation and other benefit meetings. 

Supports the Leave specialist with the disability leave process. 

Acts as the first point of contact for employees' questions and concerns. Escalates to the Manager when needed. 

Data analytics compilation from our Recognition and HRIS platforms. 

Works across a variety of functions including, but not limited to: Benefits & Recognitions, Talent, HRIS, and Payroll. 

Perform other related responsibilities as assigned or required. 

 

What we’re looking for 

BorgWarner US Shared Services (HR Link) is currently looking for a "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as an HR Intern.  Must be able to work 20-29 hours a week.    

Undergraduate/Graduate full-time student attending an accredited university as a business major, with an interest in Human Resources 

Minimum 3.0 GPA 

High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint 

Advantage if skilled in technology platforms like Canva, DocuSign.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
