Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Real World Responsibilities:
During your time with us you will:
- Assist in the transitioning process to consolidate multiple different data systems into one aligned system
- Develop standard work, create work instructions for our highest priority reconfiguration processes. This will involve a hands-on approach to actively learn the work performed and capture, in photo and written form, the sequence, materials, tools and devices required for each operation.
- Identify process & safety improvements in these process and methods to address these issues.
- Create long and short-term plans, setting targets for milestones, and adhering to deadlines
- Support layout changes as needed
As part of our team, we will:
- Provide you with real-work assignments that will provide you valuable experience as you begin your career
Must haves:
- Currently pursuing an ABET accredited degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or similar field
- Ability to work full-time for approximately 12 weeks (start and end date are flexible)
- Desire to work in a hands-on work environment in a manufacturing plant as well as comfort with working at a desk
- Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in-person in Bothell, WA
Nice to haves:
- Are adaptable, innovative, and proactive
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and goals
- Experience in hands-on club (FSAE/Baja, etc.)
- Experience with QlikView or other similar data visualization applications
- Positive and energetic
- Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects at one time, and/or project management experience
- Attention to detail and accuracy
The compensation for this position is $26/hr. for undergraduate interns and $28/hr. for graduate or returning interns. This position is eligible for holiday pay, and medical benefits.
