Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Real World Responsibilities:

During your time with us you will:

  • Assist in the transitioning process to consolidate multiple different data systems into one aligned system
  • Develop standard work, create work instructions for our highest priority reconfiguration processes.  This will involve a hands-on approach to actively learn the work performed and capture, in photo and written form, the sequence, materials, tools and devices required for each operation.
  • Identify process & safety improvements in these process and methods to address these issues.
  • Create long and short-term plans, setting targets for milestones, and adhering to deadlines
  • Support layout changes as needed

 

As part of our team, we will:

  • Provide you with real-work assignments that will provide you valuable experience as you begin your career

 

Must haves:

  • Currently pursuing an ABET accredited degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or similar field
  • Ability to work full-time for approximately 12 weeks (start and end date are flexible)
  • Desire to work in a hands-on work environment in a manufacturing plant as well as comfort with working at a desk
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work in-person in Bothell, WA

 

Nice to haves:

  • Are adaptable, innovative, and proactive
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and goals
  • Experience in hands-on club (FSAE/Baja, etc.)
  • Experience with QlikView or other similar data visualization applications
  • Positive and energetic
  • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects at one time, and/or project management experience
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

 

The compensation for this position is $26/hr. for undergraduate interns and $28/hr. for graduate or returning interns. This position is eligible for holiday pay, and medical benefits.
