Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks

  • Learn manufacturing processes related to TriTech’s Business. Metal injection molding, Investment casting, 3D printing.
  • Implement skills and knowledge to complete assigned tasks.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by aiding with process developments to improve process.
  • Conduct studies and gather data on many different processes.
  • Help design and draw parts and fixtures using solidworks.
  • 3D scan parts to measure or reverse engineer.
  • Read complex drawings and relay information to team.
  • Learn CMM measurement software.
  • Perform data collection and prepare reports to meet test reporting requirements.
  • Aid in writing work instructions and process change requests.
  • Identify problems with production or manufactured goods.
  • Communicate solutions for production challenges with quality assurance.
  • Perform other task as deemed necessary by TriTech management.

Qualifications

· Self-motivated and eager to learn.

· Junior standing or higher in an engineering degree.

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Well organized and excellent communication skills with co-workers, customers, supplier, etc.

· Written and oral command of the English language.

· Strong time management and prioritization skills.

· Team player.

Work Requirements

· Operating safety working equipment and applying safety practice at work while performing duties.

· Read and understand written procedures.

· Some work in high temperature environment.

· Personal protective equipment required to be worn at all times include safety glasses and steel toed safety boots.

· Requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.

· Must be able to stand for long periods.

· Good attendance.

· Ensure compliance of all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.

· Follow established Company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook.

· Must be able to work overtime based on the needs of the Company.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Detroit, MI 48234: Relocate before starting work (Required)
