Business Development Intern

Internship – Business Development

Intern Responsibilities:

Develop skills in client outreach and acquisition by:

  • Support conducting market research and industry analysis to identify new business opportunities, trends, potential clients/partners
  • Assisting in developing business development strategies and go-to-market plans for new products/services
  • Supporting lead generation efforts through prospecting, cold outreach, networking events
  • Participate in building and maintaining a database of potential leads and prospects

Gain experience in business strategy and planning by:

  • Participating in creating sales materials like presentations, case studies, marketing collateral
  • Help analyze business metrics, sales data, and creating reports to track progress against goals
  • Support managing and organizing multiple business development projects simultaneously

Develop skills in proposal writing and content development by:

  • Support writing compelling copy for proposals, RFP responses that convey value proposition
  • Producing clear, error-free, and engaging content that generates interest
  • Help develop creative strategies to nurture prospects through the sales funnel
  • Utilizing SEO best practices to maximize content reach and discoverability

Contribute to sales efforts and client engagement by:

  • Assisting with event planning, trade shows, or networking functions for lead generation
  • Promoting successful projects/case studies via appropriate marketing channels

Support internal coordination and operations by:

  • Editing and proofreading business development collateral as needed
  • Utilizing best practices for professional digital communication like emails
  • Assisting with meeting scheduling, logistics, and note-taking as required


 

Eligibility Requirement:

Applicants for this internship program must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an educational institution and receiving school credit for the internship.
  • Must be able to demonstrate that the internship is integrated with their coursework, enhancing their educational experience.
  • Must fulfill specific educational requirements set by their institution, department, or major program of study.

Suggested Qualifications:

  • Degree/profile in Business, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, etc.
  • Fluent English (Bilingual is a plus)
  • Business-oriented and open-minded
  • Good communication skills 
  • Able to gain people's confidence and put them at ease  
  • Able to cope with pressure 
  • Flexible and adaptable


 

Duration, Schedule & Pay:

This will be a 4-6 month unpaid internship with the potential to stay on with us after completion of the internship.

We are looking for either 1 full-time intern or 2 part-time interns (one morning, one afternoon)

Full-time Schedules: 

  • Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM EST with an hour break for lunch
  • or Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 4 PM EST with an hour break for lunch

Part-time Schedule: 

  • Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 1 PM or 2 PM - 6 PM EST
