The Position: We’re looking for a Human Resources Intern. 

 

We are currently seeking a positive, motivated Human Resources(HR) intern to be part of our HR team. The internship is an ideal opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience. This position will be working out of our headquarters office in Southfield, Michigan.

 

The HRIS manages HR data, including employee records, payroll, and time off. The HRIS analyst is in charge of maintaining the system, implementing (process) improvements, ensuring data quality, and analyzing and reporting on the data in the HRIS.

 

Requirements:

  • At least a junior standing, obtaining a degree in Human Resources/Business Administration from an accredited university.
  • Team oriented and good interpersonal skills necessary.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working independently and efficiently. 
  • Ability to work independently and on a team. 
  • Ability to use and understand Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power Point) – Required
  • SAP / ADP / Oracle experience is a plus. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate HR systems to identify points of improvement.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop technology solutions that help to streamline and automate (new) HR processes.
  • Implement process improvements and policy changes designed to improve efficiency and the user experience with the system.
  • Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for the system used in the organization (e.g., Success Factors, ADP, Oracle, SAP)
  • Manages HR data (change of status, including employee records, timecard).
  • I-9 Compliance Audits
  • Weekly reports / KPI’s
  • Complete turnover analysis
  • Help assist in new hire on-boarding and orientation
  • Create presentation for leadership team at the end of the internship
  • Miscellaneous other HR duties (headcount planning, employee communications, etc.)
  • Other projects as assigned by members of the HR team

 

The Location: This position will be located in Southfield, Michigan.
