Short Film Making Intern

Job Title:  Short Film Making Intern
Location: Remote
Type: Internship
Duration: 6 months

We are seeking a creative and skilled Short Film Making Intern to join our production team for the CJN show. The intern will assist in various stages of show making, including pre-production, production, and post-production, bringing fresh ideas and technical expertise to our project.


Key Responsibilities:


• Pre-Production:
o Assist in developing show concepts, scripts, and storyboards.
o Help organize and schedule shoots, including location scouting and securing necessary permissions.
o Collaborate with writers, directors, and producers to refine show ideas and ensure alignment with the creative vision.


• Production:
o Participate in filming, ensuring high-quality footage is captured.
o Operate cameras, sound equipment, and lighting as needed.
o Assist in directing scenes, coordinating actors, and managing the set to maintain efficiency and organization.


• Post-Production:
o Assist in editing footage to create cohesive and engaging episodes.
o Help with sound design, music selection, and visual effects to enhance the final product.
o Review and provide feedback on rough cuts, making necessary adjustments to align with the show's vision.


• Creative Input:
o Contribute original ideas and perspectives to enhance the show’s quality and appeal.
o Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into the production process.


Qualifications:


• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communication, or a related field.
• Proven experience in short film making, including pre-production, production, and post-production stages.
• Proficiency in using film production equipment (cameras, sound, and lighting).
• Experience with editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Strong understanding of storytelling, visual composition, and pacing.
