2025 Summer Intern – People Services Operations Analyst

Work Arrangement:

  • This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Detroit Renaissance Center three times per week, at minimum

The People Services Team within Global Business Solutions is motivated by operationalizing new strategies, systems, processes, and technology across the enterprise. We strive to be global strategic business partners who deliver outstanding experiences. We operate as a global organization, supporting various functions including Finance, HR, Manufacturing, and many more.

 

There are three opportunities available within People Services. Candidates may indicate the area they prefer during the interview process. The selected candidates may be placed into any one of the three areas:

  • Payroll & Timekeeping
  • Benefits & Rewards
  • Data, Performance & Insights

 

What You'll Do:

Interact cross-functionally with global teams in a hybrid work setting to identify & implement innovative solutions which improve experiences for employees.

This position will provide experiences in the following:

  • Data analysis and identification of opportunities for process improvement to positively impact quality and employee experience.
  • Exposure to multiple IT systems (Workday, Kronos, ADP, Power BI, Data Warehouse, KNIME, Achievers), business units (manufacturing, engineering, IT, HR), and countries of operation
  • Problem solving of sophisticated problems
  • Assist in creation of transformational project plans
  • Lead employee engagement activities to communicate changes to affected employees

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Business, IT, Systems Engineering, HR, Finance, Data Science, or related fields
  • Must be graduating between December 2025 and June 2026
  • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months

Start Dates:

  • Start dates for this internship role are May & June of 2025. 

 

Compensation: ​

  • The salary range for this role is $4,400-$5,400, dependent upon class status and degree. ​
  • GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2025 Student Program.​
