You’ll be joining a cohort of talented students from a variety of schools across the U.S. We hire interns into the following positions: Process Engineering, R&D, Strategic Sourcing, Technical Sales, Supply Chain, Product Marketing, Information Technology, and more. 

The projects we task our interns to lead are impactful and meaningful to our organization. You’ll be supported by your Manager and Mentor to gain in-depth knowledge of the adhesive industry and collaborate with various departments and functions. Internship Location: St. Paul, MN. 

Our Internship Experience includes: 

• 12-week paid program beginning the end of May to mid-August to gain insight and knowledge in your field.

Position Overview:

Join the Corporate EHS3 (Safety, Sustainability, Security) team as an EHS3 Process Engineering Specialist with a substantial focus on process safety.  Process Safety focuses on eliminating or mitigating the consequences of fires, explosions and toxic releases, and is a matter of importance to H.B. Fuller.  The person filling this position will be working on EHS matters that are critical to the transformation of H.B. Fuller’s EHS3 system into something that stands out as best in class among our corporate peers.

Primary Duties:

• Involvement in all Corporate EHS3 group activities (meetings, calls, etc.) 
• Develop and implement tools and Engineering Standards related to pressure relief
• Provide documentation for pressure relief device sizing and sizing basis for at least two operating sites
• Work with internal Project Engineering teams to implement pressure relief sizing documentation for new projects 
•  Support other EHS3 programs/projects as directed

Minimum Requirements:

• Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with major in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.  Some coursework in process safety, occupational health and safety, laboratory safety or equivalent is also desirable.   
• Good research and presentation skills are critical.  

Physical Environment:

Working from operating site is preferable; however, alternatively the position can work from Headquarters in Vadnais Heights, MN.  Remote or offsite work is allowable but not preferred.  The position will require some travel (less than 20%). 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $22-$25 per hour based on major.
