Programming/Developer Intern, Spring 2025

The Programming Intern will assist in developing and maintaining a robust internal web application aimed at enhancing the organizational systematic structure. Additionally, the intern will work with custom reporting and visualizations. This internship is onsite in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Please note that our internships are unpaid.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop front-end and back-end components of the web application using C#.NET, ASP.NET Core, and other relevant technologies.
  • Develop and manage database schemas, write efficient queries, and ensure data integrity using SQL Server.
  • Assist in integrating third-party services and APIs to enhance the functionality of the web application.
  • Conduct testing and debugging of the application to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Assist in maintaining comprehensive documentation of code, processes, and user manuals for the application.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the application and development processes.
  • Meet regularly with IT Director concerning tasks performed, jobs to be completed, and to discuss items of need or concern.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma required, currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program.
  • Proficiency in C#.NET, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
  • Understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose and objectives of the agency.
