Non-Clinical Drug Safety (NDS) AI & Digital Innovation - Co-Op

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Co-Op to join our Non-Clinical Drug Safety (NDS) AI & Digital Innovation department located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. As a Co-Op, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced team of data scientists and AI experts. As a Co-Op, you'll join a dynamic team, curating extensive datasets to unlock vital Toxicology documents. This hands-on experience, testing your analytical and critical thinking skills, offers a unique insight into the pharmaceutical industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Analyze complex datasets related to various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, identifying patterns and trends.
  • Actively participate in innovation projects, applying your analytical skills to solve real-world challenges.
  • Assist in the design and development of new data-driven tools and applications.
  • Present your findings and insights to team members and stakeholders, contributing to informed decision-making.
  • Continuously learn about new technologies and methodologies in the field, staying at the forefront of industry developments.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations, maintaining the highest standards of integrity.

Requirements

  • Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
  • Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship.
  • Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.
  • Major or minor in related field of internship
  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university.
  • Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in a relevant field.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and draw meaningful insights, using strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating high motivation and proactive behavior.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated with the latest trends in the field.
  • Programming experience is recommended but not required.

Compensation Data

This position offers an hourly rate of $20.00 / hr. - $33.00 / hr. USD commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled. For an overview of our benefits please click here.

Must be 18 years of age or older
