2025 Summer Food Production Manufacturing Intern (Carthage, MO)

Over the course of  10-12 weeks, a Food Production Manufacturing Intern, you'll work in our processing plant located in Carthage, MO. You’ll dive into daily plant operations, tackle industry challenges, and contribute to process improvements. 

The program’s primary objective is to grow future leaders by providing professional development and a series of assignments that aligns with professional interest within the processing and manufacturing industry.  

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Master the ins and outs of food production. 
  • Collaborate with our team to optimize processes. 
  • Contribute to quality assurance and food safety. 
  • Develop your leadership skills by guiding and mentoring our first-line employees.

You'll need to be a team player, ready to roll up your sleeves and get things done. Think you have what it takes to make a delicious difference? Additional eligibility requirements:  

  • Pursuing a Bachelors, Master or PhD in Agri-Business, Animal Science, Food Science, Meat Science, Ag Leadership or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2025 through June 2026 
  • All participants in this program are required to have a valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation to and from work. 
  • Demonstrated participation in extracurricular activity
  • Demonstrated involvement on-campus 
  • Previous work experience of any kind
