Position Description
Are you excited about the future of manufacturing and the advancements in digital twin technology? The Intelligent

Manufacturing Lab at Oakland University is offering research assistant positions with a focus on digital twins for man-
ufacturing and robotics. These roles will involve developing simulations using tools such as Unreal Engine, Tecnomatix

Process Simulate, Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, TIA Portal, and SIMIT. The ongoing research projects are with leading

manufacturing companies. Therefore, a background in industrial systems is a plus. Candidates with experience in indus-
trial robotics, manufacturing simulations, CAD modeling, and PLC programming are highly encouraged to apply.

Positions Requirements
• Strong motivation for doing guided research;
• Graduates in mechanical, mechatronics, or industrial and systems engineering;
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes;
• Knowledge and understanding of digital engineering;
• Interest in developing academic writing skills.
