Lavender Hill Farm, Michigan’s largest lavender farm, is seeking a Hospitality & Concert Captain Intern to oversee the success of our concert series and live music events. This hands-on role is perfect for anyone interested in event management, hospitality, or the music industry, offering a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience working directly with artists, guests, and event staff.
This role is ideally paired with another position on our farm—such as Tour Guide, Retail Associate, or Field Worker—to achieve a 40-hour workweek, unless a part-time role is preferred.

Located near Charlevoix, Bay Harbor, Petoskey, and Boyne City, Lavender Hill Farm is a premier agritourism destination known for its stunning lavender fields, live music events, weddings, and seasonal activities. Our interns work closely with business owners and management, gaining valuable hands-on experience that directly impacts operations and guest experiences.
What You’ll Do
As a Hospitality & Concert Captain Intern, you will:
• Oversee The Series at Lavender Hill Farm, ensuring smooth operations for live music events.
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for artists, vendors, and guests.
• Manage ticketing operations, including guest check-in, ticket changes, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate logistics for performers, including accommodations, transportation, and hospitality riders.
• Supervise concert-day operations (2pm – 10pm), ensuring seamless event setup, execution, and teardown.
• Work with the Marketing Team and performers to create and promote engaging content.
• Maintain venue organization, cleanliness, and operational standards before and after events.
• Implement traffic flow and parking best practices for guest safety and convenience.
• Assist in farm operations as needed to contribute to the overall success of Lavender Hill Farm.
What We’re Looking For
• A student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.
• A passion for live music, event planning, and guest experiences.
• Ability to problem-solve under pressure and work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Experience with ticketing software, Microsoft Office, or concert logistics is a plus!
• TIPS or ServSafe Certification is recommended.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs., and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Internship Details
• Location: Lavender Hill Farm, Boyne City, MI
• Duration: May through mid-August (possibility for extension)
• Schedule: Full-time, including concert evenings and weekends
• Compensation: Paid internship with limited housing available
