Department Description
The Medical Analytics Department at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is dedicated to harnessing data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making and optimize patient outcomes. By leveraging advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and real-world evidence, the department supports the development, evaluation, and dissemination of innovative healthcare solutions. Our team collaborates with cross-functional partners to ensure that our scientific and medical initiatives are grounded in robust, evidence-based analytics.
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Analytics Co-op to understand and evaluate external impact measurement of medical affairs. For example, evaluating tools like Altmetric and Veeva Link's publication amplification metrics. The role involves deep analysis of Share of Scientific voice, assessing their robustness for decision-making in Medical Information (MIF), and providing strategic recommendations to optimize and amplify our publications. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical curiosity and skills with experience in data analysis within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Analytics, Data Science, Healthcare Analytics, Pre-Med, Public Health, or related disciplines, with an interest in Pharma.
- Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 6-month co-op (June ~ December 2025).
- Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with online publication is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.

- Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.

Benefits
- While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position.

This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at GSK. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on several factors, including skills, competencies, experience, educational degree obtained, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.
In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirement.
Pay Rate Range: $21/hr to $40/hr
