Material and Analytical Sciences - Co-Op

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Co-Op to join our Material and Analytical Sciences department located at our Ridgefield facility. As a Co-Op, you will be working in a dynamic environment to evaluate biorelevant dissolution measurement of pediatric dosage forms with tiny TIM system.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • He/she will be involved in activities to evaluate the applicability for pediatric programs on the tiny-TIM dynamic gastro-intestinal model (training and mentoring will be given).
  • Research and select drug products with known clinical data, and utilize tiny-TIM to compare with published in vivo data.
  • Evaluate which tiny-Tim methods correlate to in vivo data.
  • Collect high quality data and summarize findings for department seminar.
     

Requirements

  • Must be a current graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
  • Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship.
  • Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.
  • Major or minor in related field of internship
  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university.
  • Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.
  • Experience with various laboratory equipment is required.

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with general Pharmacokinetics
  • Experience with Dissolution techniques
  • Analytical wet chemistry experience
  • HPLC analysis
     

Compensation Data

This position offers an hourly rate of $20.00 - $33.00 USD / hr. commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled. For an overview of our benefits please click here.
