The Wausau Woodchucks and Wausau Ignite Softball are members of the Northwoods League. The summer collegiate leagues draws significantly more fans in a friendly ballpark experience than any league of its kind. It is a valuable training ground for players, coaches, umpires, and front office staff. Many former interns and front office staff members have also moved into professional sports.
