What I liked
Apple gives you a great opportunity to network with those in the community. It’s a great resume builder and also you work alongside people whom wanna better themselves through education.
What I wish was different
Networked more while I was in school, but it was harder being on a commuter campus such as PSU and balancing a job with school.
Advice
Be open to feedback, receiving and giving feedback in the moment may be painful but it’s a good pain that helps you grow.

Technical advisor
March - August 2018 • Orlando, FL
What I liked
It was nice working from home and they make sure to work around your school schedule.
What I wish was different
You took calls all day so it got tiring having people in your ear talking about their issues all day, maybe more time in between calls. And a lot of times issues required transferring or consulting another group but they often didn’t want to help you so it felt as if you were on your own.
Advice
It takes a lot of commitment, each semester you get your schedule and you follow the exact schedule until the next semester so make sure you’re okay with that and do the free training whenever available to build upon your knowledge.

June 2017 - July 2018 • Newton, MA
What I liked
Getting to learn about how people use technology & the company's products to connect with their hobbies and their loved ones. Those I worked with were incredibly talented and open-minded individuals.
What I wish was different
The culture of retail in the U.S. is dominated by a mentality of entitlement and it made for really uncomfortable and antagonistic situations at times from customers.
Advice
Try not to take work home with you in these cases: focus on how you bring your authentic self to the table and what you can showcase about products.

Brittle Materials Team Intern
June - September 2017 • Cupertino, CA
What I liked
I loved my internship because I learned a lot and gained so much experience in such a short period of time. At Apple you are surrounded by some of the smartest people that challenge you to work hard, collaborate, communicate clearly and effectively, and think critically for problem solving. The internship was very hands on and project based. Each intern takes on a primary project that they work on throughout the summer along with several side tasks that come and go. The other interns and your manager are extremely helpful when it comes to brainstorming. I liked the emphasis on communication because it helps everyone plan and get things done.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time to work there.
Advice
Work hard, but make sure you hang out with your intern friends.
