Casa Carlini is a fiscally sponsored, mission-driven independent publisher through Fractured Atlas, based in NYC, and dedicated to amplifying literature through digital innovation. Bring stories to life through social media! We’re seeking a creative social media marketing intern passionate about books and digital storytelling to craft engaging content for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and campaigns that drive book sales and build author audiences.
What You’ll Do
This unpaid educational internship follows U.S. Department of Labor FLSA guidelines, prioritizing your learning as the primary beneficiary with hands-on training tied to your formal education (academic credit required).
- Create 4–6 social media campaigns (posts, Reels, Stories) and content calendars, translating book themes into viral hooks via collaboration with authors/marketing team.
- Receive structured training in publishing social strategies (platform algorithms, analytics for Bookshop.org/Amazon, hashtag research) with iterative feedback like classroom critiques.
- Schedule posts, track engagement metrics, assist with promotional graphics/videos; work complements our team under close supervision.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in marketing, communications, digital media, or related program; must be able to receive academic credit.
- Proficiency in tools like Canva, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, or Meta Business Suite; strong portfolio with social campaigns (personal/school projects welcome).
- Passion for books and social trends, eye for engaging copy/visuals, open to feedback, deadline-driven for remote Zoom/Trello work.
