Internship with Representative Lisa McClain

Please see the note about an internship opportunity below. Many students inquire about using the internship for a capstone course. While PS 4955 counts for a general education capstone, it does not count for a major capstone. However, from time to time, we consider requests for an internship to count for the major capstone. To us to approve it, the internship must be an exceptional experience. The one below, or any other internship done in Washington, DC, would be an example of an internship that would count for a capstone experience.

If you have questions, please contact Prof Dulio (ddulio@oakland.edu).

I am reaching out to invite any interested political science students to apply for internships to serve under Representative Lisa McClain in Washington, D.C. in the fall semesters. We are always collecting cover letters & resumes from interested students. We also believe that we can furnish highly unique opportunities for students who aspire to pursue politics.

Given that the Congresswoman is in a high-profile leadership position as Chairwoman of the House Republican Conference, we can provide direct congressional leadership experience to Michigan students for the first time in decades. We sincerely hope you are able to extend this possibility to interested students in all programs.

Please let me know where I can send relevant information about this. Alternatively, you can direct any interested students to submit their resume and cover letter to either myself or to our website McClain.House.Gov, under the "Services" tab. I look forward to hearing back from you!
