Junior Database Administrator

Title: Junior Database Administrator

Location: Boston, MA / Hartford, CT / New York, NY (Hybrid)

Duration: 15+ months (possibilities of extension/conversion)

 

Prerequisite: 

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA and not require any visa sponsorship now or in future. 
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience with data engineering, SQL, Linux, AWS.
  • Expertise with Linux/Windows, Shell, PowerShell Scripting or Python.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. 
  • Good communication skills.
  • Should be able to commute/relocate to the job location.
  • Candidates should be able to commit to work a minimum of 15 months.

 

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of AWS cloud administration.
  • Knowledge of AWS Redshift, RDS, S3, EC2, NLB, VPC, etc.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain scalable AWS cloud environments and applications for data organization.
  • Install and maintain software, services, and application by identifying system requirements.
  • Database experience with, AWS Redshift, AWS RDS. (Training will be provided)
  • Hands-on AWS Services and DB and Server troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of day-to-day database operations, deployments, and development.
  • Experienced in Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of SQL, MySQL and Performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Shell, Scripting or Python.
  • Incident and change management.
  • Release management and Code deployment.
  • After hour on-call support.
  • Upgrades system and services and developing, testing, evaluating, monitoring system performance and installing enhancements and new software.
  • Communicate with stakeholders.  

 

Selection Process & Training: 

  • Online assessment and technical interview by Quintrix.
  • Client Interview(s). 
  • 2-3 weeks of pre-employment online instructor-led training. 

 

Stipend paid during Training: 

  • $500.
