Operations Intern

Position Title: Operations Intern

Department: Operations

Reports To: Operations Chair 

Purpose of the Role:
The Operations Intern at Unity Bands plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission to assist healthcare heroes. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community while gaining experience in non-profit operations. The Operations Intern at Unity Bands plays a key role in supporting the Air Unity initiative which is an effort to provide comfortable walking shoes to healthcare heroes. 

Key Responsibilities:

General Support:

  • Assist with day-to-day tasks within the operations department, including outreach, planning, and administrative duties.

Air Unity Initiative Operations:

  • Research and evaluate partnership opportunities that align with Unity Bands’ mission and values. (Hospitals, other non-profits,...)
  • Supports organization of donation deliveries and community events.
  • Draft and send press releases announcing major donations or events related to the Air Unity initiative.
  • Follow up with event attendees and partner organizations to collect feedback and assess the impact of donation events.
  • Maintain organized records of communication, press coverage, partnerships, and donation metrics.

Other Duties:

  • Work closely with other volunteers, team members, and department leaders to support Unity Bands' projects and goals.
  • Participate in volunteer meetings and training sessions to stay informed about the organization's needs and upcoming events.
  • Attend team meetings and provide updates on partnership outreach and event outcomes.
  • Collaborate and communicate across departments (Human Resources, Marketing, Research).

  • Competent in writing professional emails and press releases.
  • Passionate about supporting healthcare workers.

Time Commitment:
Interns are expected to contribute approximately 1-10 hours per week, depending on their availability and the needs of the organization. Flexibility is offered to accommodate different schedules.
