Purpose of the Role:
The Operations Intern at Unity Bands plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission to assist healthcare heroes. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community while gaining experience in non-profit operations. The Operations Intern at Unity Bands plays a key role in supporting the Air Unity initiative which is an effort to provide comfortable walking shoes to healthcare heroes.
Key Responsibilities:
General Support:
- Assist with day-to-day tasks within the operations department, including outreach, planning, and administrative duties.
Air Unity Initiative Operations:
- Research and evaluate partnership opportunities that align with Unity Bands’ mission and values. (Hospitals, other non-profits,...)
- Supports organization of donation deliveries and community events.
- Draft and send press releases announcing major donations or events related to the Air Unity initiative.
- Follow up with event attendees and partner organizations to collect feedback and assess the impact of donation events.
- Maintain organized records of communication, press coverage, partnerships, and donation metrics.
Other Duties:
- Work closely with other volunteers, team members, and department leaders to support Unity Bands' projects and goals.
- Participate in volunteer meetings and training sessions to stay informed about the organization's needs and upcoming events.
- Attend team meetings and provide updates on partnership outreach and event outcomes.
- Collaborate and communicate across departments (Human Resources, Marketing, Research).

Time Commitment:
Interns are expected to contribute approximately 1-10 hours per week, depending on their availability and the needs of the organization. Flexibility is offered to accommodate different schedules.
