After Training – Your Medical Career Begins:

You’ll practice medicine in a team-based, patient-centered environment and have access to cutting-edge technology, opportunities for research, and a global scope of practice.
Whether you pursue primary care, a specialty, or subspecialty medicine, your work will directly impact the health and readiness of Airmen, families, and communities worldwide.
Eligibility Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen
- Currently enrolled or accepted into an ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship program in the U.S.
- Specialty must align with current Air Force needs (e.g., internal medicine, psychiatry, emergency medicine, general surgery, etc.)
- Physically and morally qualified to serve as an officer
- Willing to accept a minimum three-year active duty service commitment (one year per year of sponsorship, minimum three years)
Ideal Candidates:
This opportunity is ideal for residents or fellows who want to offset the financial burden of training while pursuing a meaningful career in military service.
