Position: Career Services Intern
Hours: 15-20 hrs/week (flexible scheduling)
Term: 2025 - 2026 Academic year (with potential summer engagement)
About Us
Our Career Services team empowers students to explore potential fields, build professional identities, and connect with employers for internships and careers. Through one-on-one advising, workshops, events, and outreach, we help students shape their paths.
Key Responsibilities
Student Advising & Resume Support
Meet individually with students to review and enhance resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles.
Provide constructive feedback and coaching on document formatting, action verbs, and quantifiable achievements
Event Planning & Coordination
Assist with planning and executing career-related events (career fairs, employer panels, networking mixers).
Support tasks such as vendor coordination, event logistics, marketing materials, on-site set-up/tear-down, and post-event evaluation
Outreach & Scheduling
Contact employers, alumni, and campus partners to invite participation in events and workshops.
Manage calendars, set up student bookings, and coordinate meeting logistics.
Administrative & Reporting Support
Create and maintain employer and student databases.
Assist with communications (emails, welcome packets, guides) and track participation metrics.
Help compile event performance reports and collection of feedback.
Who You Are
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (ideally in Human Resources, Counseling, Communications, or related field).
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable multitasking and managing details under pressure.
Proactive, collaborative team player with a professional demeanor.
Familiarity with resume best practices, event planning basics, and calendar systems (e.g., Google Calendar, Outlook).
Preferred
Experience in mock interviews, resume reviews, or college career center resources.
Prior involvement in student organizations or volunteer projects.
Some exposure to event planning tools (EMS, Cvent, Eventbrite, etc.)
Your Impact
Help hundreds of students clarify their goals and polish their applications.
Assist in recruiting 20–50 participating employers annually for signature events.
Contribute to growing participation and improving event satisfaction with tracked feedback metrics.
