Chapters and Network Fellow

Duration: August 12 - December 12, 2025 (with potential for extension through 2026)

Reports to: Assistant Director for Membership and Administration

Location: Remote

Hours: 25-30 hours per week  (consistent weekly availability required; majority of hours should fall within standard business hours, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET)

Job Summary:
The Chapters and Network Fellow will support the Fulbright Association’s nationwide chapter network by strengthening local programming, fostering leadership connections, and enhancing internal systems that enable chapters to thrive. This role focuses on providing strategic and administrative support to volunteer leaders across the country, assisting with event coordination, communications, grant reporting, and data management. The Fellow will collaborate closely with national staff and chapter boards to help deliver impactful programming and sustain long-term chapter development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support chapter development through resource sharing, direct outreach, and event coordination.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of toolkits, templates, and internal communications to support chapter programming and operations.
  • Track and analyze chapter activity, reporting, and feedback to inform national strategy.
  • Assist with chapter-related grant proposals and reporting, including gathering documentation and summarizing impact.
  • Maintain internal databases and records of chapter leadership, contacts, and event information.
  • Support communication with chapter leaders regarding important updates, deadlines, and opportunities.
  • Draft content that highlights chapter-led events and initiatives, including contributions to newsletters, blog posts, and social media.
  • Assist with organizing and facilitating virtual chapter training sessions or convenings, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Current graduate student or individual with relevant experience in nonprofit programs, alumni networks, community organizing, or public affairs.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a collaborative and proactive work style.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of translating ideas into clear written materials.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote setting and managing multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Canva, or Mailchimp is preferred.
  • Experience in grant writing, program coordination, or volunteer support is a plus.
  • Preferred: Prior involvement with the Fulbright Program, international exchange, or grassroots volunteer networks.
  • Preference given to candidates based in Eastern Time and/or those available to commit for a full year.
