2026 Investments Summer Internship Program

Role Overview:
The New York Life Investments Summer Internship Program is an exciting opportunity for rising juniors and seniors looking to gain the experience, skills, and support they need to help launch their careers. The 10-week paid internship will take place starting June 2026. Positions are available at New York Life Investments Management and its boutique firms, Apogem Capital, and MacKay Shields. Participants will take part in weekly intern events, such as Business Overviews, Meet & Greets with senior leaders, and macro economy conversations with our Global Market Strategy Team. Our program includes training and development seminars, networking opportunities, social events, a collaborative summer internship project culminating in an opportunity to be considered for a full-time rotational analyst role. In 2025, we offered three rotational analyst roles to NYLI summer interns.
New York Life Investments Management
With over $750 billion in assets under management, New York Life Investments is comprised of the affiliated global asset management businesses of its parent company, New York Life Insurance Company, and offers clients access to specialized, independent investment teams through its family of affiliated boutiques. Positions are offered in New York City and Jersey City in teams including Marketing, Product, Sales, Operations, and Data & Technology.
What You’ll Do:
Depending on your placement in the program, the internship could include the following responsibilities:
- Creating and participating in individual and/or group presentations
- Partnering with key internal stakeholders to drive efforts across marketing, sales, business intelligence, compliance, finance, legal, etc.
- Collaborate with investment partners on the creation of new product marketing materials in various formats, including social media posts, webcasts, videos, brochures, presentations, flyers and digital representation of such materials
- Synthesize research/analyses and develop concise and effective presentations to inform new product recommendations (PowerPoint or Word)
- Help prioritize and drive execution and project management on new product launches or product modifications
- Assist with the planning and overall coordination of conferences/seminars/meetings
- Participate in operational work such as updating and maintaining databases, managing daily queues, inputting client requests, etc.
- Conduct credit research, security analysis, industry/market research
- Attend training and development seminars
- Exposure to senior leadership, subject matter experts, networking opportunities, and social events
What You’ll Bring:
You will bring a desire to learn more about New York Life Investments and the financial services industry. You have strong written and oral communication skills and possess technical and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. You have prior internship experience or have made significant contributions to campus or community extracurricular activities.
Required Skills:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited 4-year university or college with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027 Business, Finance or related major preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
At the end of the summer, interns will be considered for an offer to join our fulltime New York Life Investments Analyst Program upon graduation. The analyst Program is a 2-year program rotating between various business areas such as Sales, Marketing and Product.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and interviews will begin in mid-September.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $26 - $31 / hour
Overtime eligible: Nonexempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: No
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
