🔍 Position Overview:
Hemmy Productions is seeking a film budgeting intern with proficiency in Movie Magic Budgeting Pro to assist in creating a new, union-compliant budget for our feature film. You’ll work alongside a partner already handling the script breakdown to bring the creative and technical together into a polished production budget.
This internship is ideal for students interested in line producing, UPM (Unit Production Management), or any role that requires deep familiarity with budgeting software, SAG-AFTRA/DGA/IATSE considerations, and indie film finance.
📋 Responsibilities:
- Import scene breakdown data into Movie Magic Pro
- Build out a budget based on a 120-page revised script (original 90-page budget provided for reference)
- Add production fringes, insurance estimates, and post-production costs
- Adjust labor rates based on union standards
- Deliver a clean, professional budget document ready for investor review
✅ Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Movie Magic Budgeting Pro (or willing to learn fast)
- Familiarity with union guidelines and production budgeting terms
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Collaborative, willing to coordinate with script breakdown partner
- Comfortable working remotely and sharing documents via Google Drive
