Student Internship: Social Media and Marketing (Academic Credit) - Remote position

The Mommy Archives (https://www.themommyarchives.com) serves as a vital and active community for mothers, fathers, expectant parents and caregivers. Started as a blog, the Mommy Archives now hosts local meet-ups/events as well as facilitates educational workshops. We are looking for a highly motivated and positive individual for our Social Media and Marketing Internship. This internship is very flexible and all work can be done on your own time/schedule (anytime, anywhere). 

The Mommy Archives offers our interns a well-designed training program where they will learn the ins and outs of both social media and marketing. We encourage our team to share their ideas each week in order to develop new projects with the company. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Contribute to the management of our social media platforms and online communities, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and our blog
  • Assist the marketing department to write content for social media, including posts, captions, articles, lives, reels and stories
  • Facilitate engagement on our various platforms
  • Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities (online marketing research)
  • Participate in our blog articles project
  • Use Canva to produce social media content

 

 

Performance Standards

 

Our marketing department and management supervisors and instructors will help you...

  • Polish your organizational and time management skills
  • Learn about content creation and management
  • Obtain practical knowledge about digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Become competent in brand management

 

 

Skills and Education (Mandatory)

  • Currently a student completing their bachelor's degree in marketing, social media, advertising, communications or other similar majors
  • Has excellent communication and writing skills
  • Has deep knowledge of social media tools and proficiency in use of major social networks and online communities
  • Can attain academic credits for the internship
  • Can work remotely
  • Attention to detail

 

 

Supervision & Support (Mandatory)

  • Will report directly to the founder and CEO
  • Will receive regular feedback on performance and progress
  • Will participate in special training sessions related to the role
  • Will be mentored throughout the internship by an experienced professional in the field
  • Will be evaluated periodically to support growth and development
  • Will be supervised by a professional with relevant industry experience

 

 

 

Working Conditions

  • Location: Work from home (Remote)
  • Pay: Unpaid (Academic credits)
  • Duration: semester, ~5-15 hours per week (we’re flexible)
  • Work Schedule: Flexible
  • All work can be done on your own time/schedule (anytime, anywhere)
