Position: Fundraising & Grants Intern (Unpaid, For Academic Credit)
Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: Flexible, 10-15 hours/week (adjustable for credit requirements)

About the Role:
Casa Carlini, a fiscally sponsored mission-driven organization, seeks a Fundraising Intern to help secure grants and donations that support our work. This academic internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, and grant writing – ideal for students pursuing degrees in nonprofit management, social work, communications, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Grant Research & Writing
Identify and research potential grant opportunities
Assist in drafting compelling grant proposals and reports
✔ Donor Engagement
Help develop fundraising campaigns (email, social media, etc.)
Maintain donor records and acknowledgment systems
✔ Fundraising Strategy
Research creative fundraising approaches (crowdfunding, partnerships, etc.)
Assist with donor communications and stewardship
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this internship, you will:
Gain real-world experience in nonprofit fundraising
Develop grant writing and donor relations skills
Learn to use donor management tools (e.g., Google Sheets, basic CRM)
Build a portfolio of writing samples and fundraising materials
Earn academic credit (we’ll complete your institution’s paperwork)
Ideal Candidate:
Currently enrolled student eligible for academic credit
Strong research and writing skills
Interest in nonprofit work and social impact
Detail-oriented and organized
Basic proficiency with Google Workspace/Microsoft Office
Bonus Skills (Not Required):
Previous fundraising/development experience
Familiarity with donor databases (Little Green Light, etc.)
Social media or graphic design skills for campaign materials
