Administrative Assistant Intern

Position: Administrative Assistant Intern (Unpaid, For Academic Credit)
Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: Flexible, 10–15 hours/week (adjustable for credit requirements)

About the Role

Decibel offers a hands-on internship opportunity for students seeking academic credit in administration, communications, or nonprofit management. As an Administrative Assistant Intern, you’ll gain real-world experience in file organization, client relations, and operational support, while contributing to meaningful behind-the-scenes work that keeps a dynamic arts organization running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and organize digital files and records

Assist with scheduling meetings, sending calendar invites, and tracking deadlines

Draft and respond to routine emails with oversight

Support fundraising, grant, and program documentation

Help with contact database management and communications outreach

Attend and take notes at internal meetings (as schedule permits)

Assist with special projects, research, or reporting as needed

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a college or university program (internship must be eligible for academic credit)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication

Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment

Familiarity with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar)

Interest in the arts, music, or nonprofit work is a plus
