Position Overview:
AGBU Alex and Marie Manoogian School is seeking a passionate and creative Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our team. We are looking for an educator who is eager to inspire adolescents through engaging lessons, foster a classroom community, and contribute meaningfully to school life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach four sections of middle school English Language Arts (ELA)
- Teach one elective course (subject area flexible)
- Participate in extracurricular activities (e.g., Student Council)
- Create meaningful and innovative learning experiences
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with a Middle School ELA endorsement (BA Certification)
- Student teaching, internship, or full-time classroom teaching experience
- Ability to pass background checks and state-required clearances
