Interior Design Assistant

Job title - Interior Design Assistant

  • Location : San Francisco CA 94103
  • Preferred Candidates : Around Bay area / From San Francisco State University Interior Design Program
  • Duration : Fall 2025 - Sep 22, 2025 to Dec 21, 2025 (13 weeks)
  • Days per week :  3 days in office, 2 days work from home
  • Hours per day :  4 hours per day
  • Stipend : USD $500 / week
  • Description : We are seeking a creative and motivated Fall Intern to join our Interior Design team. As an Interior Design Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the design process, working closely with our principal designer and clients to develop your skills and portfolio.

What will you be doing? :

  1. Design Assistance: Assist designers with design projects, including research, concept development, and presentation preparation.
  2. Space Planning: Assist with space planning, including measuring, furniture layout, and design development.
  3. Design Development: Develop design concepts, including selecting materials, finishes, and furniture.
  4. Client Communication: Assist with client communication, including responding to inquiries and providing design updates.
  5. Design Research: Conduct research on design trends, products, and materials.
  6. Social Media: Capturing Content and creating content for the Marble Lotus Interiors instagram and Tiktok
  7. Administrative Tasks: Assist with showroom maintenance tasks, such as filing, data entry, and other office duties.

Who are we looking for?

  1. Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit).
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Creativity: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative design solutions.
  4. Attention to detail: Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  5. Experience with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  6. Knowledge of design principles, including color theory, texture, and spatial relationships.
  7. Familiarity with design industry standards and best practices
