Title: Front-End & Back-End Web Developers (2 Positions)

Location: Remote

Type: Part-time Internship, Unpaid

Start Date: As soon as possible

 

Overview:

We are looking for two skilled Web Developers – one Front-End and one Back-End – to join our growing digital team. You will play a key role in maintaining, updating, and improving our website, ensuring it aligns with the evolving needs of our organization and partners. This position offers college credit.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and regularly update our website, hosted on Bluehost and built with the Astra theme.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of developers to ensure functionality, design, and content are consistently optimized
  • Implement changes promptly in response to internal and partner requests.
  • Attend a 90-minute weekly team meeting every Sunday (mandatory).
  • Participate in evening breakout calls specific to your development role.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure alignment across design, development, and partner goals.

 

Front-End Developer Key Focus:

  • Design and improve the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).
  • Work with WordPress/Astra customization, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.

 

Back-End Developer Key Focus:

  • Handle server-side development, integration, and database management.
  • Work with APIs, troubleshoot performance issues, and maintain site security and functionality.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in web development, with a portfolio or work samples.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Available for regular evening check-ins and flexible to make changes as needed, on short notice.
  • Experience with WordPress, Bluehost, and the Astra theme strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
