Rec Well - Street Team (Fall 2025-Winter 2026)
Street Team
JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the Street Team, you will be responsible for educating and raising awareness for University Recreation & Well-Being and the Healthy Campus initiative across campus through a diverse range of activities. You will work with other members of the Street Team to promote the mission and vision of Rec Well and Healthy Campus in engaging and entertaining ways, while still prioritizing the effect and purpose of both instances.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Willingness to have a more flexible schedule due to the nature of the work you will do
- Ability to Work Independently and with Others: This job requires you to sometimes represent OU through your own accord and willpower, while also allowing for a space to be collaborative and accepting of others opinions
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Inclusive Fluency: Ability to be respectful and work well with everyone regardless of race, religion, culture, gender, etc. Should represent themselves and OU Rec Well as a welcoming and inclusive environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Promote Rec Well and Healthy Campus programs, services, resources, and other aspects through a variety of mainly in-person scenarios.
- Growing the awareness and engagement of health and wellness resources designed to support our OU community of students, staff, and faculty
- Attending tabling events across campus, informing the OU community of people, departments, and other resources that are tied to Healthy Campus

COMPENSATION
- $15/hour
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must be available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and early mornings.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
- Act in accordance with the Clery Act as a mandated reporter and carry out responsibilities in reporting a crime on campus as a University Recreation and Well-Being staff member.
- Must be enrolled part-time, at least 6 credit hours per semester for undergraduate students and 4 credit hours for graduate students at Oakland University.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
- Street Team members report directly to the Assistant Director of Fitness and Well-Being.
