Position Overview
The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative student employee to support the Pedagogical Partnerships Program, a high-impact initiative that strengthens teaching and learning through student-faculty partnerships. This position focuses on the administrative coordination of the program, helping ensure a meaningful and well-supported experience for both faculty and student participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate scheduling for the three main touchpoints of the program:
- Pre-observation meetings (clarifying faculty goals and orienting student partners)
- Classroom observations
- Post-observation feedback dialogues
- Communicate clearly and professionally with faculty and student partners via email and other platforms
- Track participant availability and maintain program schedules
- Maintain organizational materials and assist with resource preparation
- Provide logistical support for orientation, training, and feedback processes
- Offer timely updates to the program lead and assist in documenting progress and participation
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled Oakland University student (undergraduate or graduate)
- Interest/Experience in teaching and learning, inclusive education, or academic support programs, preferably through previous experience with the Pedagogical Partners Program
- Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
- Comfortable coordinating schedules and facilitating communication between multiple people
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to maintain confidentiality and approach conversations with professionalism and empathy
Duration and Pay
- Fall and Winter Semester
- This is a paid student role. Compensation details will be shared with selected applicants during the application process.
- Hours are flexible and may fluctuate slightly depending on program activity levels
