Access Center Therapist

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides phone and face-to-face triage, crisis intervention, brief therapeutic interventions, and initial “Requests for Service” to consumers seeking services. Provides a screening of consumer benefits and level of need to determine population eligibility. Provides referrals to services to internal and external service providers.

EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in an appropriate mental health discipline.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: Two or more years’ experience providing treatment to individuals with a mental illness. Excellent computer and interpersonal skills, punctuality, ability to organize and manage several projects/tasks simultaneously, and work independently.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: Licensed by the Michigan Department of Commerce or Professional Regulation as a LLMSW, LMSW, TLLP, LLP, LLPC or LPC and must become fully licensed with-in 30 months of date of hire. Must have reliable means of transportation for and maintain safe driving permit.
