Summer 2026 Internship – Consumer Banking (Data and Analytics - Deposit Analytics)

The Ally Internship Program guides and mentors students with development opportunities and experiences that support your career interests while also driving the business forward. As part of our Internship Program, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Have hands on experience and project-based work
  • Attend Orientation, Executive Speaking Series, and learning sessions as an Intern cohort
  • Participate in Mentoring Program and Giving Back Events
  • Network with your peers, your team, and those Allys you find interesting
  • Lead an end of assignment presentation  

The Details:

  • Internship Program Timing: May 26 – August 7, 2026
  • 40 hours each week with a mix of in-office and remote working days
  • Project-based work
  • Market competitive hourly compensation and a sign-on bonus, as well as financial housing assistance for those who qualify
  • Successful interns will have the opportunity to return to Ally in an Early Talent Program or full-time role, or to a second internship, depending upon graduation timing.

 

The Work Itself:

Consumer Banking  
Consumer Banking is all about the customer. As a summer intern within the data & analytics organization at Ally, you will play a key role in an initiative focused on advancing the Deposits customers strategic evolution while ensuring franchise stability. This high-impact project is designed to improve the customer experience while increasing operational efficiency. 


Intern Key Experiences: 

Most of the internship will be spent working on a main project. Examples of these include, but are not limited to: 

  1. Customer Segmentation/Clustering Analysis 
  2. Customer Attrition Forecasting 
  3. Customer Relationship Deepening Analysis/Forecasting 
  4. Power BI Dashboard Building 
  5. There may also be smaller ad-hoc requests that the Intern will be involved with to get exposure to other initiatives 

Key Intern Skills & Competencies: 

  • Required: Data Analytics/Analysis - The Intern will get the chance to strengthen their technical skills in R/Python, SQL, and Power BI, as well as non-technical skills such as project management and presentation. 
  • Communication – Intern will develop professional skills in stakeholder communication, business case development, and presentation to leadership. 

The Skills You Bring:

Required qualifications.

  • Rising Junior or Senior (during the time of internship) in a full-time undergraduate program.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Available for the full duration of the internship program.
  • Eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
  • A passion for the financial services and technology industry is strongly preferred.   

Preferred qualifications. 

  • Previous internship experience or relevant project work is preferred.
  • Extracurricular activities/leadership experience is preferred (student organizations, volunteering, sports, part-time roles, etc.).
