Qorvo’s Electron Microscopy Internships are offered in our Global Operations business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

 

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Learn to operate Qorvo's Focused Ion Beam (FIB) and Scanning Transmission Microscope (STEM)
  • Will perform elemental analysis using Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy
  • Learn operational procedures for FIB and STEM labs and identify opportunities to new technique development
  • Successfully complete analyses by working with internal customers to understand their needs and desired results
  • Successfully handling multiple analyses in parallel

 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or Ph D in Materials Science and Engineering, Physics,  Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or similar degree field 
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA 
  • Hands On Experience with Electron Microscopes or Focused Ion Beam Tools. 
  • Self-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail 

 

This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship by the company.

 

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $31.00/hr - $42.00/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability. Base compensation is one element of Total Rewards offered at Qorvo. More information on the Total Rewards package can be shared upon request.
