Accounting And Financial Reporting Intern
The intern will assist the Global Controller s group with the month end close process, lease software administration and reconciliation, and several special projects that will allow for developmental and real-world application of the skills learned thus far in your educational background. The experience will allow the intern to understand the requirements working in general accounting and financial reporting at a large multinational company.

Responsibilities:
Conduct research on assigned accounting topics and present findings to the team.

Identified projects that you will be responsible for:
Month end close assistance which may include journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis and follow up, participation in close calls, etc.
Leases software maintenance, including reviewing new leases for proper determination of Finance vs. Operating treatment, performing reconciliations of leases, updating borrowing rates, and more.
Special projects that may include things such as GL account mapping reviews, implementations of accounting tools and software, leading and organizing the collection of task list procedures and accounting manuals, etc.
Perform accounting research on assigned topics and summarizing the results of the review in memo formats.

Requirements:
Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in either Finance or Accounting. Current academic status must reflect good performance in relation to institutional academic standards.
Strong interest in the industry or field related to the internship.
Basic knowledge of accounting, including debits, credits, financial statement interpretation/reviews, and Microsoft office products.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
Adaptability and willingness to embrace feedback and eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
