Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Intern
Responsibilities
- Use basic mechanical engineering skills to provide solutions for assigned projects
- Apply collegiate curriculum and current knowledge/practices to solve specific technical problems and standard design problems
- Execute challenging projects for assigned operation unit(s) to deliver improved asset integrity and unit reliability
- Collaborate with reliability engineers, maintenance engineers, and other plant personnel to address challenging real-world problems
- Develop competency in the design and troubleshooting of fixed and rotating equipment, such as piping, valves, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, relief devices, and pressure vessels
- Additional responsibilities will vary depending on the specific role
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Anticipated graduation date December 2026 or May 2027
- GPA 2.8 or higher
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering mathematics
- Microsoft suite proficiency: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and learning agility
- Proven success working in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Ability to work in the U.S. with no restrictions (OPT H1b, TN visa currently not supported)
