Allegion is looking for a passionate Systems Engineering Intern to work as part of a highly engaged small team within a global organization of 12,000+ employees, representing 30+ brands (including Schlage, Von Duprin and LCN) focused on safety, security and access management. You’ll work on solutions that will enable seamless access and help keep you and your loved ones safe and secure where they work, live and thrive.
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of system components and assemblies.
- Support the development and integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project requirements and progress.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including system requirements, interface definitions, and system block diagrams.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues.
What we’re looking for:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in Systems Engineering and its applications.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
