About Us:
SlapStik Comedy Entertainment is a multimedia platform showcasing comedians through digital magazines, podcasts, and live events. We're expanding our creative team and offering a for-credit internship opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in graphic design, typography, and multimedia branding.

Position Overview:
This internship is designed to provide students with meaningful educational experience in a real-world creative environment. Interns will work under the guidance of our graphic design team leads, learning how to translate classroom concepts into professional projects while contributing to the development of our comedic and vibrant brand identity.

This internship is unpaid but can be completed for academic credit in coordination with your college or university. The schedule is flexible to support your academic commitments.

Responsibilities (Educational Training Opportunities):

Practice creating designs for both digital and print platforms.

Explore typography-based graphics that enhance comedy-centered content.

Learn how to collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to align visuals with brand strategy.

Gain experience incorporating feedback and refining designs to meet project goals.

Apply color theory and layout techniques to achieve visual consistency.

Requirements (Educational Fit):

Currently enrolled in a degree program (Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Media Arts, or related field).

Coursework or prior training in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Portfolio (class or personal projects accepted) to demonstrate design ability.

Interest in typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.

Strong communication skills and openness to feedback.

Availability for at least 10 hours per week (flexible, with weekly 30-min check-ins on Sundays).

Enthusiasm for learning, growth, and applying design in a creative industry.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this internship, students will be able to:

Apply classroom knowledge to professional design projects while earning academic credit in coordination with their school.

Develop versatile design skills by creating media across multiple platforms (print, digital, and merchandise).

Strengthen networking and professional communication skills through mentorship with graphic design team leads (Nae and Lillie).

Gain exposure to branding and promotional design projects in the entertainment industry.

Enhance creative collaboration skills by working with comedians and content creators to balance humor, brand identity, and audience engagement.

Supervision & Mentorship:
Interns will be mentored by our two Graphic Design Team Leads, Nae and Lillie, who will provide guidance, feedback, and industry insights throughout the internship.
