Premium Coastal Winemaking Internship 2026

We are on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who embody teamwork, innovation, and integrity to join us as interns. In this role, you will engage in daily harvest activities and manage ongoing winemaking projects, gaining firsthand experience in the art of production from grape to wine amidst the breathtaking scenery of wine country.

 

This internship offers a taste of diverse responsibilities, including assisting in sampling, lab blends, tasting, inventory control, and managing cellar work. You will participate in fermentation monitoring and tasting, track analysis, and interpret data, all while assisting in the preparation and processing of work orders. Your role will also involve monitoring and performing tasks such as grape sorting, inoculations, additions, maceration, racking, draining, pressing, barrel filling, and lab analysis. Moreover, you’ll have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with departments throughout the company, ensuring a holistic understanding of the winemaking process.

What You’ll Need

  • Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in the following areas OR have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in the following areas: School of Life Sciences, School of Agricultural Sciences, or School of Engineering (Business or social sciences degrees are not eligible for this internship, such as ag business, psychology, etc).
  • Required to lift and move up to 45 lbs.
  • Required to drive to and from varying winery locations up to 5% of the time
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to climb fixed stairs with handrails and vertical ladders with hoop cages to a height of 40 feet.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • Experience computing mathematical formulas and basic computer skills.
