
Engineering Intern
Inteva Manufacturing Engineering Interns get the chance to learn about Plant Engineering’s role in supporting a manufacturing company, gain hands-on experience, and work on meaningful projects that make an impact. The intern in this role will work with the Plant Engineering team out of Inteva's Manufacturing Plant site in Bluffton, IN.
Inteva’s Summer 2026 Intern Program includes more than your day-to-day work. Your experience will include supplemental learning and development opportunities, such as executive lunch-and-learns and professional workshops. You will support Inteva’s core value of caring for the world and our communities with group volunteering opportunities throughout the summer. Most importantly, you will have fun, learn, and grow as part of a cohort of summer interns.
What will you get to work on?
- Support Layout changes on the floor
- Time studies at operations for Balance Chart Analysis (videos, pictures, times)
- Update OWI if required.
- Support on Engineering builds and shipments
- Get material required for Engineering runs if required
- Identify Engineering parts as required
- Support the team on special runs at the production lines, such as new lines
- Other duties as required.
Requirements for this internship:
- Junior-Senior level student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Time Study, Ergonomics, Safety, Lean Manufacturing
