Health and Safety Intern

Arconic is currently in search of a Health and Safety Intern to join our Corporate Headquarters Team in Davenport, IA.

As an intern, candidates will:

Primary Responsibilities

  • The purpose of the Internship Program is to introduce students to Arconic through a challenging and rewarding experience in the corporate Environment, Health, and Safety department by assisting with industrial hygiene projects, trend analysis of global health and safety data, and safety culture initiatives.
  • The candidate will have the opportunity to assist with industrial hygiene sampling, chemical inventory management, enhance employee education and instructional material.

Basic Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety discipline, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering or related EHS discipline
  • Must have an expected graduation date in late 2026, Spring/Summer of 2027, or, Spring/Summer of 2028
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess strong leadership competencies, and strong team and analytical skills; strategic thinking skills; dedication and enthusiasm for work in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, especially as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required, along with an overall level of expertise in MS Office environments.
  • Involvement with one or more extracurricular activities, work-study or off-campus jobs, and/or volunteer positions.
  • Must be able to relocate to indicated work location for the duration of the internship and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation.
